Q. What year will reconfiguration of La Habra City School District take place?

A. Reconfiguration has been approved by the School Board for the 2018-2019 school year.

Q. When will parents be able to apply for an InterDistrict transfer?

A. The Task Force team is currently finalizing the process and procedures for student transfer. More details will be forthcoming.

Q. Is a student guaranteed a transfer to a magnet?

A.  Students will be able to transfer based on available space in the entering magnet. A waiting list based on time and date stamp will be kept.

Q. How will parents be informed if a school boundary (home school) has changed?

A.  Parents will be notified by mail if there will be a change in the home school of attendance for the 2018-2019 school year. Information will also be made available on our website.

Q. Will transportation be offered for students entering a new Magnet school?

A.  At this time the Task Force team is currently discussing transportation for students entering a new magnet school. No decision has been made. Students in the Dual Immersion program will receive transportation services.

Q. If I am a new parent wanting to enter La Habra City School District, what do I need to do to enroll my child?

A. Parents can stop into any of our school offices, or our District office located at 500 N. Walnut Ave. in La Habra, and request an enrollment packet.
