La Habra City School District is proud to announce that students from Las Lomas Elementary School, performed at the Disney Musicals Student Share Celebration at the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Center for the Arts, in Costa Mesa.
Schools are selected to participate in Disney Musicals in Schools through an extensive application review and school site visit by Segerstrom Center staff. Once selected, schools embark on a 17-week creative journey that culminates in school performances and a celebration performance on the Segerstrom Center stage. This year Las Lomas staff and students performed the Jungle Book.
Musical theatre provides students a safe and creative environment for students to gain skills in problem solving, creative expression, risk taking, team building and become effective communicators.
