Jennifer Hurtado: Classified Employee of the Year

In her role as Community Liaison for Imperial Middle School, Mrs. Hurtado supports families in any way she can.  "Señorita Jennifer", as she is affectionately known, is the bridge that connects families with their students’ teachers and administrators. Jennifer gives freely of her time to support the needs of our school community. She fosters positive relationships between school, home and the community by arranging events such as Parent Nights, Target shopping sprees, Walk to School Days, Healthy Cooking classes, Holiday Wishes, and food distribution.  In addition, she provides opportunities and resources for our families to learn additional skills to enhance their child’s academic success and to develop their own parenting and leadership skills.

Superintendent, Dr. Carlos, describes her as, “a great support for the Imperial Middle School students, staff and families in her role as Community Liaison. She consistently seeks resources within the La Habra community to better the lives of students and families.  During this on-going pandemic, Jennifer has guided many families struggling financially as well as emotionally. We are grateful for her never-ending support.”

Mrs. Hurtado is an advocate for all students, has empowered parents, and increased parent participation.  Year in and year out, she has served the Imperial community with an uncompromising commitment to excellence. For all of this and more, It is our honor to name Jennifer Hurtado the La Habra City School District's 2022 Classified Employee of the Year.
