On January 26th the La Habra Boys and Girls Club hosted its annual Youth of the Year Awards at the Boys and Girls Club. Each campus in the La Habra City School District has an ASES after school program that serves hundreds of students daily. The program has existed for over 15 years. These programs are created through partnerships between schools and local community resources to provide literacy, academic enrichment and safe constructive alternatives for students in transitional kindergarten through eighth grade.
Each ASES site awarded deserving students who are ready, responsible, and respectful daily, showing great leadership abilities. Many families were in attendance and many students were recognized for their achievements. A delicious chicken dinner was also served to all.
