The Imperial Middle School Band was recently invited to perform at the prestigious Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa as part of the Pacific Symphony’s Family Musical Morning Series. Led by Mr. Gerardo Carvajal, Imperial Middle School students captivated the audience with their exceptional talent. Their performance left a lasting impression on the audience, with many attendees leaving comments such as:
“The youth musicians in the lobby were excellent. My child loved being able to sit so closely to the players and watch what they were doing. The student musicians were professional and engaged with their performance and with the audience.”
“[My 3-year-old grandson] was engrossed. When a few of the musicians invited him to come close up and see and feel the instruments he was SOOOO happy.”
This is the first time Imperial Middle School and the La Habra City School District have been invited to participate in such an event. We look forward to continuing to expand our instrumental music program and the great opportunities we offer our students!
