Las Lomas Elementary Named an Orange County Impact School by OCDE

We are proud to announce that Las Lomas Elementary has been named one of twelve Orange County Impact Schools by the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE). This special recognition highlights innovative teaching, collaboration, and practices that make a measurable difference for students across the county.

Unlike a traditional award, the Impact Schools initiative serves as a professional exchange designed to elevate what is working in classrooms and share effective strategies with educators countywide. Throughout the year, teams from OCDE’s Educational Services division will visit each site to observe classrooms, engage with educators, and help expand promising practices that support student learning and success.

Las Lomas was chosen for its commitment to meeting student needs through fresh ideas, strong relationships, and purposeful design. From empowering teachers to lead innovative learning experiences to fostering a culture of connection and belonging, the school has become a model of what is possible when educators lead with both passion and purpose.

As part of this initiative, Las Lomas will receive a formal certificate and badge of recognition from OCDE. Over the coming months, OCDE’s cross-functional teams will visit the campus to learn from staff and capture insights that can inspire continuous improvement across Orange County schools.

Congratulations to the Las Lomas staff, students, families and the entire school community on this outstanding achievement.
