Walnut Families Make CBEDS Day a Celebration of Community and Attendance

Walnut families rock! This year’s CBEDS Day was a wonderful success thanks to their enthusiastic support, helping Walnut achieve one of the highest attendance rates of the school year. From the moment students arrived, the joy was contagious. Dressed in cozy pajamas and carrying their favorite stuffed animals, students kicked off the day with smiles and school spirit.

Each student received a free Walnut school shirt, a proud symbol of their commitment to learning. Students are encouraged to wear their shirts every Friday to show their Wildcat pride.

Adding to the celebration, special guests from the Sheriff’s Department—Officer Betancourt, Mike, and their K-9 companion, Ike—visited classrooms to thank students for showing up and staying engaged. Their presence reinforced the strong partnership between Walnut and the La Habra community in supporting education.

The day wrapped up with a pizza lunch and refreshing popsicles, celebrating student effort in the sweetest way possible. More than just a day of attendance, CBEDS Day at Walnut became a celebration of connection, commitment, and community. Thank you to all our families for making it such a memorable event!
