The 14th Annual Student Showcase at Imperial Middle School brought together more than 150 attendees for an inspiring evening of student-led presentations. The event highlighted how technology is integrated into classrooms across the district to make thinking and learning visible.
A wide range of projects demonstrated the depth and creativity of student learning. Second graders shared stop-motion videos to explain animal life cycles, while fourth graders presented Public Service Announcements exploring the impact of AI on learning, society, and the environment. Fifth graders used 3-D modeling software to interpret events from the American Revolution. Across grade levels, students used tools like Book Creator and Canva to capture and communicate their learning.
Coding and robotics projects were also featured, including Drone Soccer demonstrations that showcased students’ piloting skills. Middle school students from Imperial’s Digital Arts class displayed advanced Photoshop work through original art pieces. Washington students presented their “Bring Your Greaser to Life” project, combining AI literacy with reading and descriptive writing.
From multimedia storytelling and digital publishing to visual design and AI-enhanced creations, each project offered a window into student thinking and innovation. The Student Showcase continues to highlight the powerful role of technology in learning, and we look forward to even more incredible projects in the future.
