Spring has arrived at El Cerrito Elementary, bringing renewed excitement for learning and growth. Our students are truly “springing into learning,” filling classrooms with curiosity, energy, and enthusiasm. This time of year is especially meaningful as we celebrate the progress students have made and the confidence they continue to build.
We are grateful to our incredible El Cerrito PTA for enhancing student learning through engaging assemblies and memorable field trips. A highlight has been the Wild Wonders assemblies, where students experience hands-on learning by seeing, touching, and learning about animals up close. These opportunities spark curiosity and bring learning to life in meaningful ways.
Students have also enjoyed field trips to plays and musicals, helping them develop an appreciation for the arts while connecting classroom learning to real-world experiences. These experiences foster creativity, collaboration, and a love of learning beyond the classroom.
As we move through the spring season, students are preparing for ELPAC and CAASPP state assessments. We look forward to celebrating the academic growth they have achieved this year and are proud of their continued effort and determination.
