La Habra City School District Press Release

The La Habra City School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Renee Arkus as the District’s new Assistant Superintendent of Business Services.

Mrs. Arkus brings extensive experience in school finance, fiscal planning, and operational leadership. She joins La Habra City School District from Bellflower Unified School District, where she has served as Chief Business Officer. Prior to her work in Bellflower, she served as Executive Director of Fiscal Services for Long Beach Unified School District.

As Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, Mrs. Arkus will oversee the District’s business operations, facilities, maintenance and operations, transportation, nutrition services, and other operational functions that support student learning and organizational excellence. She brings a collaborative leadership style, deep fiscal expertise, and a strong commitment to supporting schools.

Reflecting on her new role, Mrs. Arkus shared:

“I am honored to join the La Habra City School District family and look forward to collaborating with our dedicated Board of Trustees, staff, and community. My focus will always be on ensuring that our fiscal and operational decisions directly support the success and well-being of every student.”

Mrs. Arkus will begin her new role with the La Habra City School District on August 10, 2026.
