El Cerrito Elementary School is celebrating several early successes that reflect the dedication of our staff, families, and community. One of the most exciting milestones has been the successful launch of full-day kindergarten. Our TK and kindergarten teams worked collaboratively to create welcoming, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environments that are helping our youngest Scotties thrive throughout their expanded school day.
El Cerrito is also proud to receive the California PBIS Platinum Implementation Award for the second consecutive year. This recognition reflects the schoolwide commitment to creating a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment. Our PBIS Committee, staff, students, families, and community continue to bring our PAWS expectations to life: Problem-solve, Act respectfully, Work and play safely, and Strive for excellence.
Another exciting development is the return of the Farmers Market to El Cerrito. Special recognition goes to FACE Community Liaison Delia Rugamas and Office Manager Anna Carlos for their dedication to bringing this valuable resource back to campus and strengthening connections with families.
The El Cerrito PTA is also building momentum by increasing membership and launching its first fundraiser of the year, the Ultra Fun Run. Funds raised will support field trips, assemblies, dances, and other memorable experiences for students.
