Ladera Palma Dual Immersion Academy kicked off the school year with an exciting milestone: its first schoolwide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Celebration! Organized by the dedicated PBIS Team, the event brought students together for a Glowstick DJ Dance to celebrate a positive start to the year and officially launch the schoolwide PBIS rewards and recognition program.
The celebration was filled with energy and Dragon spirit as students received glowsticks and enjoyed music, dancing, singing, and time with friends and classmates. Seeing students across grade levels come together made the event especially meaningful. The smiles and excitement were a wonderful reminder of the importance of creating opportunities for students to feel connected, recognized, and proud of their school community.
Beyond the fun, the celebration reinforced the purpose of PBIS at Ladera Palma. Throughout the year, students will have opportunities to be recognized for demonstrating positive behavior, making good choices, and contributing to a safe, respectful, and welcoming school environment.
The first PBIS Celebration was a tremendous success and a great way to begin the school year. Ladera Palma is grateful to the PBIS Team and staff for creating this memorable experience and looks forward to many more opportunities to celebrate our amazing Dragons.
