CGI Math
Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) in Math is a practice that has our students using higher level thinking skills to solve different word problems in Mathematics. Beginning in Trasitional Kindergarten, our students are challenged to solve problems that can have multiple solution paths. Teachers interview students while they are working to uncover their thinking and analyze the problem solving strategies students are utilizing. Students are furthermore selected to present their problem solving strategies in clear and concise presentations to their peers.
