Frequently Asked Questions

When will bus applications be available for the upcoming school year?

A: The application link will be live in late March on the District website.

Can I fill out a paper application?

A: No, applications are only available online on our website. www.lahabraschools.org

Is there a deadline to submit bus applications for the upcoming school year?

A: Currently enrolled students: Deadline is the last day of the current school year (all applications received after the last day of school will be put on a waitlist). New students: Applications will be accepted during the summer; parents are encouraged to submit an application as soon as possible.  Deadline is July 31 to allow our office enough time to route students for school startup.

My students have transportation this year.  Do I need to apply again for next year?

A: Yes, we require a new application every school year for each student.

When will I be notified if my application has been approved?

A: We will begin processing applications in June and our families will start receiving confirmations by mid July.

Why do I need to add the student's ID?  As a new parent to the District, do not have this information.

A: When we review the applications, having the student ID saves us a lot of time when looking up students in Aeries. We will make that field "not required" on the application so our families can still submit the form without it.

How do I obtain a replacement bus pass?

A: Bus passes are required to ride the school bus. Drivers will allow students to ride without a bus pass if they are in the process of obtaining a replacement. The $5 fee for a replacement pass can be paid to the bus driver or at the Transportation Office.

I've lost an item on the bus. What should I do?

A: All lost items are stored on the bus for 1-2 days for students to claim their belongings. All unclaimed items are stored at the Transportation Office lost and found as space permits. Our families or students can call the Transportation Office at (562) 690-2328 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
