The Hive is Buzzing at Arbolita

Arbolita is buzzing with energy this school year as students and families actively participate in a variety of school activities, from parent conferences to fundraisers and upcoming celebrations. Recently, the campus came alive during Bee Spirit Day, where students proudly wore their best bee-themed outfits to show off their school pride.

That same evening, the Arbolita PTA hosted the annual Hive Dance, transforming the campus into a joyful celebration of community and school spirit. Decked out in black and yellow, students, families, and staff enjoyed a lively evening filled with music, dancing, and games. The event began with a sensory-friendly half hour featuring low music and sensory stations, ensuring an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.

Parent volunteers went above and beyond decorating the venue, organizing activities, and supervising students throughout the night. Sixth grade students supported the event by selling pizza, drinks, and snacks to raise funds for both the PTA and their upcoming outdoor science camp.

A standout moment from the evening was a dance-off that brought the crowd to life—especially when one of the youngest TK students stole the show with impressive moves and a cheering audience.

Thanks to the dedication of the PTA, volunteers, and families, the Hive Dance marked a memorable start to the year. Arbolita looks forward to many more fun and meaningful events as the school year continues.
