At Walnut STEAM Academy, students are constantly learning new skills.
This year, we focused on skills in digital art and engineering. During the first part of the year, each student from TK-6th grade learned how to draw creatively using different features in various apps and programs using their iPads.
Students are now learning about engineering and the importance of creativity. Each session focuses on a different challenge and they work on creating items such as sand rover, catapult, or marine vehicle.
Students are taught step-by-step how to build structures using Lego pieces and gears. Students are highly engaged during their Lego Engineering time and they look forward to creating and building structures that show their creativity and engineering skills
