La Habra, CA — The La Habra City School District is pleased to announce that Tanya Beck has been selected to serve as the next Assistant Principal of Imperial Middle School (IMS).

Mrs Beck has served as a classroom teacher, Academic Coach, and Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) at IMS, where she has been an integral part of the school community since 2002. More recently, Mrs. Beck has enhanced student achievement and school climate through the implementation of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and the International Baccalaureate Middle Year Program (IB MYP).  Her demonstrated commitment to student achievement and collaborative leadership make her the ideal next Assistant Principal for IMS.

In reflecting on her new role, Mrs Beck shared:

“I’m incredibly honored and excited to step into the role of Assistant Principal at Imperial Middle School - a place I’ve proudly called my professional home for over 20 years. During that time, I’ve had the privilege of serving in many roles at IMS, and through each one, my commitment to our students, staff, and families has only deepened. Rooted in strong relationships, collaboration, and high expectations, my approach to leadership centers on creating a school environment where every student feels supported, challenged, and inspired to grow - not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well.”

I’m especially excited to partner with our new principal, Mr. Victor Johnson, for the 2025–2026 school year. Together, we bring complementary strengths, shared values, and a collaborative spirit that will serve the Imperial community well. It is a true privilege to work alongside our amazing staff, students, and families. I look forward to continuing our journey together as we learn, grow, and thrive as a school community.”

The La Habra City School District is confident that Mrs. Beck’s leadership will have a lasting and positive impact on the students, parents, and staff of IMS. Please join us in warmly welcoming Mrs. Beck as she steps up into this important role and leads Imperial Middle School toward a bright and successful future.
