WMS Springs into Success with PBIS

At Washington Middle School, we are “springing into success” through the continued growth of our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program. This year, we’ve seen a noticeable decline in behavior incidents and a rise in schoolwide positivity, thanks to the collective efforts of our students, staff, and dedicated PBIS Team.

Students are being celebrated for their positive behavior through a variety of engaging PBIS events. From extended breaks to exclusive access to the PBIS room—complete with ping pong and air hockey—students have enjoyed well-earned moments to relax and have fun. Regular PBIS raffles have also added to the excitement, giving students more chances to be recognized for their contributions to a respectful and responsible school community.

With energy and enthusiasm running high, we’re looking forward to our biggest celebration yet—an upcoming park event that will bring the entire school community together for fun, connection, and recognition of the values that make Washington a great place to learn and grow.

A huge thank you to our PBIS Team for organizing and leading these incredible experiences. Their dedication continues to make a lasting impact on our students. Let’s keep the momentum going as we build a school culture grounded in respect, responsibility, and positivity!
