21st Century Learning

We are thrilled and excited about all of the possibilities technology is offering to our students across the curriculum.  This year Imperial implemented 1:1 iPads in all grade levels.  Students are actively engaged accessing learning through apps, google classroom, digital communities, and much more.  Technology is truly supporting curricular goals in our classrooms.  On any given day students can be seen researching topics, creating iMovies/PicCollages/Keynotes to demonstrate learning, receiving feedback on an essay via google docs, and working as mathematicians solving real world problems. 

We are also very excited to offer our students in 9 of our classrooms Apple T.V. with 3 large television screens that allow teachers to extend learning experiences beyond the classroom.  Additionally, we are currently installing a TelePresence system which will allow students to connect and collaborate with others from around the world.  Students will be provided access to visual content and video conferencing with experts on curricular topics.  They will also be taken on virtual fieldtrips, transporting themselves back in time.  Imperial is bringing the learning “To” the students, maximizing learning time for all!
